Popular Kreuzberg club with a variety of dance and music events
In the spirit of all-embracing, nondiscriminating Kreuzberg, SO36 hosts a broad spectrum of dance-orientated parties, from tango and waltz to punk and disco. The space goes back to 1861, with a CV that includes a beer garden, a cinema, a squat for artists and concert hall (Einstürzende Neubauten and the Dead Kennedys have performed here). Its current incarnation has been in the domain of non-profit Sub Opus 36 e.V. since 1990. Check website for gay nights.
