Schoppenstube (Closed Permanently)

(1 Rating)
Berlin's oldest gay bar
Translated in English as 'beer pub, Schoppenstube in not only Berlin's oldest gay bar (1963, with history going back to the 20s) but East Berlin's only gay bar until the 1980s. Friendly, local-feeling and age-blind, the venue includes a cellar bar, dancing at weekends and occasional parties. Sadly in June 2013 the bar closed its doors forever.
