I Loved You is about gutted synesthesia and illusions:
It is not about the individual, not about what is rational. It is an exploration of
the unconscious; the illusion of synthesis and soul mates, suffering caused
when the unconscious discovers reality, the drama and dreamscape and the
irrationality of emotions.
Through large-scale projected videos, the viewer will be invited to explore
the fissure that exists between our emotions and ourselves. By alternately
viewing the work with the bare eye and through tinted glasses the viewer
delves into the multi layered juxtapositions of the human emotional experience
through extreme abstract emotional expressions.
I Loved you is a collaborative project for Miami Beach Art Basel between
DJ and sound artist Tom Peters and visual artist Mathias Vef, both based
in Berlin.
