One of several swish European outlets owned by English hotelier Rocco Forte, this style-conscious, 146-room hotel is the elegant reinvention of Ludwig Heim's Dresden Bank building, built in 1889, with many of its original neoclassical features intact. Includes an Olympic-sized swimming pool, high-tech gym, all-organic body treatments and an 800-square-metre spa that was previously a jewel vault. Opened 2006 after three years of remodelling. A spot-on central location without being gay-specific. U-Bahns: Französische Straße and Brandenburger Tor.
