Hotel Sarotti-Höfe (Closed Permanently)

No ratings yet
Boutique hotel in Kreuzberg with a chocolate past
A 31-room, relatively inexpenisve boutique hotel in Kreuzberg, opened in 2005, more than 120 years after the building served as the home of Sarotti chocolate manufacturers. Decor could be described as neo-traditional, with conventionally manly furniture and cleaned exposed-brick walls leftover from its days as a factory. No star rating, but somewhere between 3 and 4. Gay-wise there's a Sarotti-Höfe café-bar here on the premises, with cocktails after dark. [see entry] Located on the buzzy Mehringdamm in Kreuzberg, not far east of Schöneberg. Just around the corner is the pleasant Bergmanstraße, where great schnitzel (and more) can be had at both Felix Austria and Austra restaurants [see entries]. U-Bahn: Mehringdamm.
