Berlin's über-friendly helpline/switchboard for gay and bisexual men started in 1985, during one of the worst periods of the HIV/AIDS crisis. The centre offers help and advice on all matters of gay male life — support groups, leisure activities, nightlife, STDs etc — but its main raison d-être has been the "education, prevention and information on issues and problems associated with HIV / AIDS". In short, a citzens advice bureau for gay and bisexual men, with coffee and cakes available. Located next to Brunos sex shop, directly opposite Nollendorfplatz.
