Between Bridges

(1 Rating)
Berlin gallery of Wolfgang Tillmans

Art enterprise overseen by gay German-born Berlin/London photographer Wolfgang Tillmans, who in 2000 won the Tate gallery's Turner Prize, becoming the first in his field (and the first non-English artist) to do so. Opened in January 2014, this minimal not-for-profit Schöneberg gallery takes its name from the space Tillmans oversaw in east London between 2006 and 2011. In September 2014 Tillmans installed an interactive playblack room with a state-of-the-art stereo system, available to sonically adventurous Berliners and local luminaries such as experimentalist and sound specialist Yusuf Etiman (ex-basso).
