Power Dance Club (at Kreuzwerk)
Hedonistic 24-hour queer rave that launched on 15 December 2018 in Athens, then in late January 2023 made it to Berlin, to Mitte club Ohm, which by 2024 it already had outgrown. As of 2025 the event is fixed at Kreuzberg mecca Kreuzwerk, a rather makeshift and flexible space that is not as industrial as the name suggests. Power Dance Club, which happens every month or so, is reminiscent of the much-missed CockTail d'Amore and is not too dissimilar to Lab Dance (at Berghain) — with sex on tap — and might share a bed with Horse Meat Disco. Three ground-floor dance floors (though all not always open), pretty much split between house and techno, with the requisite name DJs. Men dominate (90%+), and while it's rather conventionally gay, it's not really a circuit party. Two darkrooms (black-dark basement vs orangey-lit ground floor). Toilets have the feel of a SAW movie. In short, trendy, attractive and heady. Outdoor area included, including a winter garden with a bar. Smoking yes. HustlaBall has happened here. U-Bahn: Moritzplatz.

The party definitely has potential and is worth checking out at least once. The bar staff is friendly, drinks are reasonably priced, and the overall vibe is fairly welcoming. That said, it doesn't necessarily feel like the organizers are aiming for a fair price-to-value experience. Instead, the setup seems tailored more toward walk-ins, tourists, and a few favored locals. This is also reflected in how the whole event is curated. Music, crowd, and overall energy can vary significantly depending on the night and your personal taste. The crowd is extremely mixed – including some rather eccentric characters. That can be entertaining, but it’s certainly not for everyone. Considering all that: If you're open-minded and not expecting too much, there's a good chance you'll enjoy yourself. But if you're after a more curated experience, consistent quality, or a crowd that aligns with your scene, you'd probably be better off looking elsewhere in Berlin’s nightlife landscape.
