Die kleine Philharmonie

Za old style

Old-fashioned, olde-worlde and ornamentally enhanced bar for drinking, singing and cabaret, with stage acts on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. The address is rich in history, but the bar as we know it, in spirit and in name, owes everything to Lithuanian-born Wanda Vrubliauskaite (1923–97), who in 1959 started it all in and ran the roost until the 1990s, with her charitable side overflowing in generosity and kindness during the worst years of the AIDS illness. Located ever so close to Schöneberg's gay zone. U-Bahns: Spichernstraße and Augsburger Straße.
