One of Berlin's premier indie-spirited coffee outlets, the shoebox-sized concrete-walled Double Eye feels very early 21st century in its embrace of hip young coffee culture, but keeps it simple in a very reassuring way. There are two sourced coffees to choose from — one stronger than the other ("stark") — and the service is relaxed, which means there's often a queue going out the door. Customers tend to drink out front, where there are a few benches to be had. One of a tiny handful of businesses to have increased its opening hours (which are comically specific) since the pandemic. Located about a 15-minute walk south of Nollendorfplatz.
