Hugely popular, unusually inexpensive Vietnamese establishment on the Kreuzberg/Neukölln border. Hamy identifies itself as fast food, but the quick-fire service is the only aspect that resembles traditional ideas of a fast food joint. The vegetarian-friendly menu runs the gamut from soups to curries and features daily specials, some Thai-influenced, and the food is very good. Lots of pavement seating out front, overlooking the busy Hasenheide. Not a restful experience, but a recommended one. Opened 2007. Located not far from workman's clothing outlet Kokott [see entry]. U-Bahn: Hermannplatz.
