Budget international food journey
A very good, inexpensive and reliable Charlottenburg café-restaurant with a menu inspired by French novelist Jules Verne's famous 1873 adventure AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS. Opened in 2000, with the same owner as of 2016, Jules Verne serves home-made dishes you might find on a trip round the world (presumably in well under 80 days). Schnitzel, couscous and chicken saté share the menu with French classics, a caesar's salad, a fried chicken salad and daily specials, with a two-course-plus lunch deal that must rank as one of Berlin's better bargains. Weekend brunch is also a thing here. The evening menu changes every two weeks. Outdoor seating is a bonus, and there's a bar inside. Open every day but Christmas. Located just south of Kantstraße, immediately west of Savignyplatz and just minutes from Zoo. S-Bahn: Savignyplatz.
