A recommended French oasis serving classic dishes — from soupe à l'oignon, boeuf bourguignon and moules to tarte tatin and crème brûlée — at relatively affordable prices. Located in a quaint and quiet street about a 15-minute walk south of the Motzstraße. It's here that you're most likely to spot Chantal from Chantals House of Shame. Outdoor seating under and an antiquated plum tree. The website quotes iconic US-born French chef Julia Child: "In France cooking is a very serious art and a national sport." 'Cocotte' translates as 'casserole'. U-Bahns: Eisenacherstraße and Bhf Kleistpark.

Lovely and romantic
This French restaurant was a great find on a trip to Berlin with my husband. All of the dishes were delicious and presented in a rustic style. They only have the menu in French or German but the waiter was helpful in letting us know what was on the menu and offering suggestions.
