Mister B (aka Mr B)

Conveniently located bang in the middle of Berlin's gay catwalk, Mister B is the shop that gives RoB a run for its money. Both are Dutch-born businesses, though veteran RoB started up in 1975, 19 years before Wim Box opened up the original Amsterdam Mister B. And while the former has spread its corporate wings to six other cities (as of 2013), Mister B has poured most of its sweat and testosterone into the Berlin business, which opened its doors in 2000 (previously around the corner in the Nollendorfstrasse). In September 2018 the original Amsterdam store moved from the Warmoesstraat to the Prinsengracht. Antwerp opened in 2014, followed by concept stores in Frankfurt, Copenhagen and Dortmund. Quality-wise there's nothing here that's too out of the ordinary (to the fetish-minded, that is), but the mid-range-quality stock features reliable supplies of leather and rubber — most of it made by Mister B in southern Holland — plus neoprene, bondage gear, sportswear, SM accessories, faux leather, PVC and countless brands of anal toys and lubes. The shop had a makeover in early 2023. For the record, Bos bowed out in 2017, handing over duties to Nelson Jorge Sousa da Cunha.
