Sheraton Berlin Grand Hotel Esplanade

Sheraton's Berlin debut, and located just north of Nollendorfplatz — ever so convenient for those who identify with all that is gay in and around the Motzstraße and the Fuggerstraße, while also within easy reach of the Tiergarten, shopping (KaDeWe, Bikini Berlin mall [see entries] and beyond) and, slightly further afield, the myriad historical and cultural offerings of Mitte. The building, in the Bauhaus/Corbusier-style, dates from 1988, but Sheraton did not move in until 2018. The hotel (354 spacious rooms and 40 suites) doubles as a conference centre and was last renovated in 2007; think the fun side of sobriety. Modern gym on the ground floor, but no spa/sauna.
