RoB Berlin

Following a six-year absence, RoB Amsterdam returned to Berlin on 8 September 2022, just in time for Folsom Europe, shifting from one gay Schöneberg catwalk — the Fuggerstraße, where it opened in 2003 but in 2015 was subsumbed by R&Co — to another (the Motzstraße, just round the corner, in the space previously occupied by Frontplay). This handsome and generously endowed space mirrors the Amsterdam mothership in terms of stock, here featuring off-the peg and customised leather and rubber, plus a considerable collection of Alpha Industries gear, not to mention the requisite toys and accessories. For the record, RoB Amsterdam was started in 1975 by Robert Meijer (died 1991). Located adjacent to gay bookshop Prinz Eisenherz Buchladen [see entry]. The shop plans to expand beyond its initial Thursday to Saturday opening hours.
