Traditional Schöneberg outlet for beer and manliness
Corner bar positioned in the thick of Schöneberg. Previously the rather uncool but reliable Mario's Kneipe — which it still resembles for the most part — and, before that, Knast (at one time a hot Berlin leather bar), Maxxx appears to be branching out to a younger clientele while remaining sympathetic to bears and the leather-inclined. Reduced-price happy hours and specials on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Opened 2010. Closed May 2012, with plans for residential redevelopment and no hope of a new bar.
