A generously sized and tastefully brick-walled space with a determinedly darkened basement, Prinzknecht has a slightly provincial feel in terms of both music and clientele. But it's great as an early-evening start to a night of serious cruising, with a 2-for-1 drinks deal for two hours on Wednesdays. Gets very buzzy out front in the summer, especially during Folsom Europe in September (and at Easter). Owned by Karl-Heinz 'Kalle' Klatt, whose CV also includes the adjacent Connection sex shop/cinema and neighbouring Connection club, and nearby established leather haunt Mutschmann's [see entries], plus the now-defunct SM hotel the Kinky Tulip. Opened 1999.

reliable
It was near our hotel and convenient, ended up there 3 times over the 5 days. Least Smoky bar, friendly enough staff, always some ppl there.
Great Bar
Clearly not enough people bother to write reviews these days. Great bar, good atmosphere, gets really busy at the weekends but a good crowd most nights it would seem. Bar staff are very attentive, chatty, and the place is always clean. Good music and a great place to start the night!
Great place to start the night
Always have a good time at Prinzknecht , great place to start the night in Berlin
