A relatively very inexpensive 18-room boutique hotel on the third floor of a late-19th-century art nouveau house, the ArtHotel claims to be the "grand dame" of gay Berlin hotels as well as the city's oldest, though renovated — complete with crystal chandeliers and frilly touches here and there — in 2010. There's no connection to the similarly named shop and club below. Location is exemplary in terms of access to several of Schöneberg's gay hot spots.

The best place for gays to stay in Berlin/Germany!
I'm german and my favorite Hotel in Berlin/Germany is ´"The ArtHotel Connection"! I've been there several times already, last year for Christmas & new years eve! Berlin is Europe's best place for gays & a phantastic metropole with history, nightlife & culture. Absolutly, a must for gays from all over the world - do believe me!! This Hotel is perfect located, very clean, all the male staff is very friendly and extremly helpful, the breakfast is delicious and served untl late, the suite and rooms are designed in a wonderful style - you will feel home from the first minute! ThisHotel is "The grande Dame" under Berlin's gay Hotels! You would like it! If you travel to Berlin - do stay there! Herbert Wauligmann, Germany
Enjoyed every minute of it
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great location, near a lot of bars and restaurants. . Reasonably priced. Big room, I stayed in the Comfort Double. High ceilings, very comfy bed. Great shower with plenty of hot water and strong water pressure. Free WIFI was great and signal strong. The breakfast in the morning was good, eggs, meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, toast, juice, coffee and served late. Will stay here again next time in Berlin.
Great location..visually unique..clean and comfortable
I stayed for two nights recently. Great single room, ipod docking and great shower were big pluses! Free WiFi also. Didn't realize this isn't a "normal" hotel..it's located on the 3rd floor of a shared building. Can be very dark at night getting into the building, but that's about the worse thing I can say about this stay. The other rooms also looked well appointed and clean.
