By far the most gay-friendly of Hasir's six Berlin locations, this reliable and buzzy Turkish restaurant offers home-made soups (red lentil 'Rote Linsensuppe' – very nice, and inexpensive), shish kebabs, salads and fish dishes in a conventionally manly and affable environment. The dürüm döner (doner kebab slices and salad rolled up in flat bread) is a particularly good bargain filler. Opens daily at 10am with a Turkish breakfast. Located directly across Café Berio [see entry] and one minute south of gay catwalk the Motzstraße. Other locations include Kreuzberg (corner of Oranienstraße 177/Adalbertstraße 10) — which is the oldest branch — and Wilmersdorf (Nürnbergerstraße 46). U-Bahn: Nollendorfplatz.
