Pasolini (Closed Permanently)

Italian-specialist brasserie located on a Motzstraße hot spot with outdoor seating affording prime location for men-watching on the catwalk. This was previously More – the buzzy Austrian-leaning eatery overseen by local gay mover and shaker Ernesto Kuoni (ex-Zsa Zsa Burger and TheLiberate). In early 2017 Kuoni sold the business to an Austrian who in March 2018, in partnership with two Italians (including a chef), rebranded the establishment and tweaked the menu. The straight-owned restaurant makes (intentional?) reference to gay and slain Italian film-maker Pier Paolo Pasolini (1922–75). Open Monday to Saturday from 11.30am; closes between midnight and 1am. Open Sunday only for special gay-appeal weekends (such as Easter and Folsom Europe). The Austrian co-owner's other outlet is Jolesch in Kreuzberg (Muskauer Straße 1), which specialises in his native country's dishes.
